Westport Continuing Education
Learn kitchen fundamentals and essentials such as knife skills and cooking methods (sautιing, searing, grilling, roasting, braising, etc.) to complete basic functions throughout the kitchen,
all the while building your repertoire of ingredients and flavors.
Each evening will focus on several components: an introduction to techniques, new and seasonal ingredients, blending of complementary flavors and the preparation of a simple, yet contemporary menu.
Students will be encouraged to put on an apron, take part in all aspects of preparing the meal and learn through hands-on practical application, preceded by thorough demonstration.
Each menu will consist of several courses and generally a dessert.
